Singer-songwriter Sara Fjeldvær is based in Trondheim, Norway, and writes pop/folk music. Her songwriting is nuanced and intimate with captivating lyrics, distinct vocals and warm instrumentation.

Fjeldvær grew up on the island Hitra on the coast of Norway. Raised in a house full of instruments in a small community, inspiration was no shortage. Spending her early teens listening to Laura Marling, Susanne Sundfør and her fathers piano playing, Fjeldvær started writing songs from an early age. She later discovered The Who and Bob Dylan among others, and went on to study Performing Jazz at The Music Conservatory at NTNU, expanding her songwriting further. While studying she released her self-titled debut album (2021) and EP “Best Love” (2022), both recorded in Nyhavna Studio in Trondheim. Her second and third albums “Stars” (2024) and “Love and Other Songs” (2025) were produced by Mathias Angelhus, with whom she co-wrote and released the duo album “Like Waves” (2024).

Actively touring in Norway and elsewhere, Fjeldvær has received praise for her integrity and creative writing. She was awarded Adresseavisen music grant in 2026 and “Signalspiren” by the Norwegian Composer’s Fund in 2025.
